Intoleranz ist ein Spielfilm von David Wark Griffith aus dem Jahre 1916 mit pazifistischer Grundtendenz. Er gilt als Meisterwerk des Stummfilms.

Für mich auch nur knapp keine 6, obwohl es eine der positivsten Überraschungen der letzten Zeit war. Hatte den Film ja nur wegen Homers Bewertung überhaupt geschaut - und kann ihm da im Prinzip nur zustimmen. Der Film wirkt auch heute noch sehr aktuell, die Geschichten sind sehr gut miteinander verwoben, wobei mir die Hugenotten-Geschichte etwas gar kurz kommt, so dass deren Ende irgendwie etwas komisch wirkt. Aber sonst: absolut sehenswert.
